Transcription:
There are many predictors of how children do post-divorce and post-separation. Parents who have continued arguing, hostility, and anger towards one another is a predictor of poor outcome on the part of the children. So it's terribly important that the children are protected from that anger. We usually tell parents, if you're angry, have a private call with that parent, but don't do it front of the child. Conversely, what we do want is for the parent to model an attitude of acceptance, not put the child in the middle in any situations, and allow the child to have a positive and healthy relationship with both parents.
