I think that if you are a couple that is considering the dad coming out of the workforce and be the primary care taker, I think there are a few things to consider. From a guys' standpoint, don't be surprised if you are facing internal and external challenges. Some of those internal challenges being a loss of confidence, and self-worth, and self esteem - it's a completely different animal. You are no longer at the office, having adult conversations with people who can comprehend and give you feedback. There's a big feeling of being alone. Some of the external issues are you need to integrate yourself into a new social network, which is heavily dominated still by moms. So that is one thing to consider. It definitely ... it takes a lot. It was a giant .. there was a giant learning curve for me. I think patience, above all, was extremely tough.
