So I've had this great opportunity to do a bit of work with the Red Bull High Performance division that works in helping develop athletic performance in their athlete cohort. And my particular position in that has been helping athletes engage spiritual disciplines or spiritual practices. So one of the things that I work with folks is just mindfulness - how present minded are they in the moment. And not just as they're engaging their athletic endeavors, but cultivating mindfulness in ever other area of their lives. Looking at the virtuous life. It's my belief that we don't want to make just the very best surfer, or the very best skier, but the very best surfer or the very best skier emerges when you create an environment for the very best person to bloom and grow and blossom and mature and develop. So if as parents we're looking at developing a so-called high performance child, our focus really is not on just that area of giftedness that our child expresses, but we're looking at the whole child. So it's not that we don't coach them up in whatever their area of giftedness, whether it's athletics or academics, or creative endeavors, but we're really looking at giving them a fuller experience.
