Here's my dirty little secret, I had big plans for my child when they put that eight pounder in my hands, I was like, "Here we come Harvard!" But I don't have those kids, and the truth is I would love for them to be the star kids. Basically, I have regular kids, and most of us do, so what you really want to do when you're educating your child is advocate for them, not what your dreams are for them, but their dreams for themselves so that they can really express them. That may not lead to Harvard, but it's going to lead to a self-actualized child, which is a heck of a lot better.
