There are factors to consider in a triplet pregnancy. Someone may approach you and say, "Have you considered reduction?" When I was approached with this question, I thought they meant that I should lose weight. No, they meant changing from three fetuses to two, so the pregnancy would come off without a snag. Of the moms I spoke with, 65 percent of them with this question, "Do you think you should reduce?" None of them did. Obviously, I was talking to triplet parents. 10 percent of the time, if you reduce, you can lose the entire pregnancy. For us, it was a no-brainer. I was 38 years old. I was healthy. The babies were healthy, and we didn't have to make that difficult decision, but other people weren't so lucky.
