I think the possibility of autism is difficult for everybody. You're getting a diagnosis that's gonna change your whole life, your dreams and hopes for your child, which is everything you have when you have a new child. So everybody reacts differently, whether it's denial or just their acceptance, the way that they accept it. You have to be respectful of that. I took a while personally to accept it. I wanted to help my child as soon as possible but just internally. It took me a while before I could say that I think my child would have autism.
