What I mean by, giving your child by doing less; is that we live in a culture that supports busyiness and doing. We can get into a rut of piling more and more stuff for our kids to do, and for us to do. We end up doing so much for our kids, that we are not ever really with them. We don't have unstructured time with them. My suggestion is that you sit down with your kids and ask them, "Of all these things that we do, what do you love to do? What is fun for you? What do you get the most out of? What is the time that we have together that you enjoy the most?" Really stick to those activities, and let the other things go. See if you don't have more opportunity to be with your children, if you do that.
