Transcription:
It is very important for children's self-esteem and emotional growth, that we respect our children's boundaries. A boundary invasion is anything that crosses that line. It's tickling and them wanting us to stop, and we don't. It's not knocking on their bedroom doors, and us coming in. It's reading their diary, email, and text without permission. It is rough housing and them saying stop, and we don't. Boundary invasions, respecting our children's boundaries, are very, very important because we want them to be able to set the limit. When we tell them stop, they know that when I say, stop, somebody is going to stop. When they are older, fast forward a few years, we want them to be able to say, no, to drugs; to say, no, to sexual acts; no, to a lot of things. They need to be used to saying no and having people respect that.
